Yesterday, the Teamsters Union filed an application for certification with the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) to be authorized to represent FedEx Ground package handlers in Mississauga, Ontario.

The passage of the Senate version of the FAA Reauthorization bill on March 22 without our specific language in it is yet another hurdle that we have passed and the fight goes on for FedEx Express employees. We have made it within the five yard line and now we must work very hard to score. We must restore our Federal Rights to Freedom of Association for all FedEx Express employees. The inclusion of our language, the Express Carrier Employee Protection Act into the final FAA Reauthorization Act during the conference committee will Restore our Rights and give us the opportunity to gain a voice in our workplace through forming our union. Do not do Fed Ex's dirty work. Write letters, call and email legislators to encourage them to support Express Carrier Employee Protection.
