Blue Ribbon Commission Hearing on the Plight of the Middle Class FedEx Worker
FedEx Express workers in the Los Angeles area struggling to stay in the middle class. These workers want to form a union with the Teamsters to maintain their middle class status. Unfortunately, a change in federal law manufactured and pushed by FedEx executives and their congressional supporters in 1996 has made it extremely difficult for these workers to organize.
The Teamsters, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, and Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE) are holding a blue ribbon commission hearing to let workers, economic experts, clergy and political leaders discuss how the plight of these middle class workers can be remedied. How the 1996 law was engineered will also be discussed. JOIN US FOR THIS IMPORTANT HEARING!!
